Guardian Information

Annual sponsors include sponsorship of all 3 seasons of sports offered by Naselle Sports Club (spring, fall, and winter).

Concessions

Concessions are one of our largest fundraisers. We need everyone's help to make this year's concessions successful. You can choose to volunteer on a day during your child's game (with a pretty good view) or volunteer for another Naselle team's game. If volunteering your time is a challenge, please help by donating to the concession stand, so we can buy the goods needed. If you are coaching or assisting with a team, you do not have to donate your time or money.

  • You will be contacted once a game schedule is out to schedule a time for concessions.

  • I would rather donate $25.00 rather than volunteer my time for the concessions stand.

It is further understood and agreed that this waiver, release and assumption of risk is to be binding on my heirs and assigns.

1. The risks of injury and illness (ex: communicable diseases such as MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19) from the activities involved in this program are significant, potentially life-threatening, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce these risks, the risks of serious injury and illness do exist; and,

3. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
4. I acknowledge that I am aware that there are risks to me of exposure to directly or indirectly arising out of, contributed to, by, or resulting from:
An outbreak of any and all communicable disease, including but not limited to, the virus “severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)”, which is responsible for Coronavirus Disease (COVID- 19) and/or any mutation or variation thereof;
5. In consideration of having the opportunity to participate as either a team member or competitor at location, and in acknowledging that I am aware of and willing to assume the risks associated with this activity, I hereby voluntarily agree to waive, hold harmless and indemnify Naselle Sports Club, Naselle Grays River Valley School District, City of Astoria and the Astoria School District 1C, Knappa 5J School District, Warrenton/Hammond School District #30, City of Warrenton, and City of Long Beach and Ilwaco and their trustees, agents, volunteers and employees from any and all claims, demands, damages and causes of action of any nature whatsoever arising out of ordinary negligence which I, my heirs, my assigns or successors may have against them for, on account of, or by reason of my participation in the above activities. I indicate my agreement to this hold harmless elective noted below.
6. I understand Naselle Sports Club will follow all Washington and Oregon State Covid-19 sporting activities requirements, which can change rapidly.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY AGREEING TO THIS WAIVER AND COMPLETING REGISTRATION FOR MY CHILD(REN).

I have read and reviewed the Naselle Sports Club code of conduct with my child. I understand the disciplinary procedures in place.

NSC Code of Conduct
1. I will always hustle. Both on and off the field.
2. I will always respect both my parents and my coaches. I will do my best to obey.
3. I will not use profanity, drugs, or alcohol. I understand that I am representing my team and my town and will do my best to set a good example.
4. I will practice good sportsmanship before, during, and after the games, as well as at all practices.
5. I will treat my opposing players, parents, and coaches with respect.
6. I will respect the decisions made by the officials. My behavior will not change their decisions and may reflect poorly on my team, or myself.
7. I will strive to win with Grace and lose with Grace. I understand that some wins may be awesome and some losses may be tough, but I understand that this is just a game.
8. I will never quit. No matter the score, inning, or number of outs. I will continue to try my hardest until the game and/or practice is over.
9. I will work hard even when no one is watching. My work ethic and performance is strongly influenced by the effort I put in at practices, at games, as well as at home.
10. I will never throw equipment in anger. This is unsafe, as well as a display of poor sportsmanship and lack of self-control.
11. I will prioritize the safety of myself and others. I will wear proper equipment and be aware of my surroundings when using sports equipment.
12. I will show up to all of the practices I can; on time, with a positive attitude, ready to work hard.
13. I will practice self-control and help set a positive example and attitude for my team. If I cannot control my emotions, I may be removed from the practice and/or game to sit with an adult guardian.
14. I will support and encourage my teammates. I will always strive to treat my teammates as I would want to be treated.
15. I will respect the facilities that we use for practices and games. I understand that we are granted permission to use these facilities and should leave them better than we found them. I will not damage any facility and I will clean up all my messes.
16. I will remain where I am instructed to be at all times. (In the dugout, on the bench, on the sidelines) I understand that I must obtain permission from my coach before leaving my designated area.
17. I will embrace my role, position, or spot. I understand that my coach is there to help me play to the best of my ability. If I have any questions about trying a new spot, I will save them for after practices.

I will always do my best to follow these rules. My coaches, parents, and I understand that I am not perfect; but repeated violations may impact my standing on the team. Depending on the severity and frequency of my infractions, I may see less playing time, a diminished role, or complete removal from the team.

Naselle Sports Club has a disciplinary policy in place. NSC wants to make each sports season as successful as possible for the coaches, the players and the parents. Strike 1 is a parent/coach/player meeting in person. Strike 2 is a printed set of the NSC code of conduct to be sent home, reviewed with a parent, signed, and brought back to my coach. Strike 3 is a meeting with my parents and sports club board to discuss next steps.
